Jori Ayers, Olathe, Colo., has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Bethany College for the 2010-2011 academic year.

Ayers is a 5'8" setter from Montrose High School, Montrose, Colo.
There she was a two-year letterwinner, earning second team all-conference honors. She served as team captain her senior season and was an all-state alternate. Her senior season, Ayers had 101 kills, 255 digs, 121 assists and 26 service aces.
 
Coach Nathalea Stephenson is excited about Ayers coming to Bethany. "Jori comes to Bethany College with excellent skills. Jori has great hands and good upper body strength. She is a hard working individual that we are excited to have in our program. We look forward to seeing her grow as a player and as a person in our program."
 
Of the court, Ayers was active in National Honor Society, science club, Key Club, STARS, Sing Club and FCA. She served as class president her freshman through junior years and was student body president her senior year. During her four years at Montrose, Ayers lettered in band and was on the honor each year. She was named the Lions Club Student of the Month and was awarded the George Eastman Leadership Award.
 
Ayers is the daughter of Danean Chezem and Bobbie Ayers. She has a 3.45 high school GPA. At Bethany she plans to study in the college's pre-medical program.
