In their first meet of the 2010 season, the Bethany College
cross country team traveled to Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan. to
compete in the Maple Leaf Invitational. The women competed in a 4K run while
the men competed in a 5K.
Finishing best for the Swedes was senior Kate Dibbern, York
Neb., coming in 11th with a time of 15:44:38.
Other Swede women competing were junior Sabrina Scroggin,
Towanda, Kan., in 48th; junior Nadia Armbruster, Lindsborg, Kan. at
55th, senior Morgan Salter, Holcomb, Kan. at 56th;
freshman Jenna Rivers, Salina, Kan. at 65th; freshman Alexis Lipson,
Abilene, Kan. at 69th and sophomore Ashley Nicolich, Modesto, Calif.
at 84th. Overall as a team, the Bethany women came in seventh out of
ten.
On the men's side, freshman Jordan Dahlke, Holyrodd, Kan.
finished 29th; senior Nick O'Loughlin, Hugoton, Kan. at 53rd;
junior Josh Snider, Tehachapi, Calif. at 55th; and junior Tomas
Ortiz, Lyons, Kan. at 72nd.
The Swedes compete again Friday, Sept. 10 in the Friends
University Invitational.
