Bethany seniors Joel Sundquist and Shawn Ravenscraft now can add NAIA All-America honorable mention to the list of honors they received for their efforts during the Swedes 2007 KCAC Championship season.

In addition to his NAIA All-America Honorable Mention, Sundquist, Riverton, Utah, earned first team KCAC and NAIA Region IV honors as a catcher. He had a .430 batting avg. with 37 RBIs. He ranked 25th in the NAIA in batting average.

Ravenscraft, Muscatine, Iowa, was named KCAC and NAIA Region IV Player of the year. He also earned KCAC first-team honors as a pitcher and was named to the Rawlings-NAIA Gold Glove team for both the conference and region, which honors the conference's best defensive players. In addition, Ravenscraft earned NAIA Region IV first-team honors as a pitcher and third-baseman.
 
Ravenscraft ended the season ranked 2nd in the NAIA in hits allowed per game (4.55). He had a 3.03 ERA and eight wins on the season. Ravenscraft batted .419 with 20 RBIs.
 
The Swedes were crowned 2007 KCAC regular-season champions, giving the team an automatic bid to the Region IV tournament in Omaha. There the Swedes faced Bellevue University in the championship game, losing 8-9.
 
The team finished the season 35-15 overall, 18-6 in conference play. Head coach Matt Tramel was named KCAC Baseball Coach of the Year for the third time in his four seasons at Bethany. The team finished the season ranked first in the NAIA in batting average (.382). In the final NAIA top 25 poll, the Swedes were ranked 22nd, with a season-high ranking of 20th.
