Jerred Morrison, Omaha, Neb., has signed a letter of intent to play baseball for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Morrison, a pitcher, is transferring to Bethany from Iowa Central Community College. Prior to college, he attended Bellevue East High School in Bellevue, Neb., where he played baseball all four years. In addition to baseball, Morrison played football and basketball.

Head Baseball Coach Jeremy Cantrell says, “I am excited that Jerred has taken the opportunity to come to Bethany College. His determination has got him here and I look forward to seeing him apply that to his pitching.”

Morrison is the son of Jon Morrison and Dar Merrill. He has a 3.1 grade point average and plans to major in business administration.
