During halftime of the football game between Bethany College and Friends Univsersity at Anderson Field on September 22, the Running Swedes and the Bethany Alumni Programs revived the Milk Shake Mile as 25 participants predicted how long it would take to complete a mile. After the event, they each enjoyed a vanilla milk shake.
Overall winners included Paige Howell of Derby, KS, in the female division, and Cedar Van Tassel of Gypsum, KS, in the male division. Howell predicted a time of 7:00 and ran 7:07, while Van Tassel predicted 9:00 and ran 9:06. Each of them won a Bethany Cross Country t-shirt and a $5.00 Gift Certificate to The Cookery.
