Kale Cauthon, Carbondale, Kan., has signed a letter of intent to wrestle at Bethany College for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Cauthon comes to Bethany from Santa Fe Trail High School, where he wrestled all four years. He is a four-time state qualifier, placing sixth at the state tournament in 2012. Healso earned Kansas Honorable Mention All-Academic wrestling team honors. In addition to wrestling, Cauthon played football and golf for three years.

Cauthon is a member of Student Council and Renaissance.

Head Wrestling Coach Jacob Marrs says, "Kale Cauthon is the right kind of person for Bethany.  His accomplishments in wrestling are outstanding and he takes great pride in his academics.  Kale also has superior character and comes from a great family.  We are thankful for Kale and look forward to welcoming him to our family."

Cauthon is the son of Jim and Denise Cauthon. He has a 3.5 grade point average and plans to major in biology.
