Ryan Clark, McPherson, Kan., has signed a letter of intent to run cross country and track and field at Bethany College for the 2012-2013 academic year.
Clark comes to Bethany from McPherson High School, where he was a state qualifier in cross country. In addition, he also played tennis and was a state qualifier in swimming.
Clark participated in forensics and went to state in debate his freshman year. He is a member of Science Olympiad, where he took fourth place in fossil.
Assistant Cross Country Coach Aaron Yoder says, "Ryan is a very intelligent and driven individual who will add depth and athleticism to our cross country team. Ryan participated in tennis and swimming in high school where he qualified to compete in the state competition. We are happy to have him on our track and cross country teams."
Clark is the son of Dennis Clark and Tina Clark. He has a 3.5 grade point average and plans to major in biology.
