Eight track & field athletes traveled to Warrensburg, MO, to compete at the University of Central Missouri Classic on February 17, 2007.

Women's Results
Leading the way for the women, sophomore Sarah Helm of Seneca, KS, competed in four of the five pentathlon events. Her best event of the day as far as place is concerned was the 60m hurdles where she was 6th in the preliminaries with 9.72. In the long jump, Helm had a season best jump of 14-09.25, placing 8th. Her other events included high jump (11th with 4-05.50) and shot put (26th with 30-09.00). The only event she did not compete was the 800m run.
Other women to compete included: freshman Stephanie Wilson of Pomona, KS, in the 600 yd run (10th—1:37.04); junior Anna Miller of Blue Rapids, KS, in the weight throw (12th with 44:07.00); and freshman Michelle Baltimore of Yuma, AZ, in shot put (15th with 35-07.25) and weight throw (14th with 43-05.25, a new personal best).
For the men, junior Caleb Svaty of Kanopolis, KS, was 9th in the weight throw with 48-02.50, while senior Nathan Whitcomb of Cottonwood Falls, KS, was 13th in the event with 47-00.25.
The other men who competed were sophomore Brian Chapman of Lincoln, NE, in the 60m hurdles (15th with 9.42) and sophomore Nhial Malia of Highlands, TX, in the mile run (16th with 4:40.67, a season best time).
On February 10, 2007, the teams host the Bethany Last Chance Meet in Strobel-Gibson Gymnasium and Anderson Field. Indoor events include: weight throw (10:00 a.m.—women followed by men), high jump (10:00 a.m.—men followed by women), shot put (11:30 a.m.—women followed by men); and pole vault (11:30 a.m.—women followed by men).
The long jump (11:30 a.m.—women followed by men) and triple jump (11:30 a.m.—men followed by women) as well as the running events (12:30 p.m. rolling schedule start) will be held outside if the weather permits.
