Brittany Ward, Wakefield, Kan., has signed a letter of intent to cheer at Bethany College for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Ward is transferring to Bethany from Barton County Community College. Prior to college, she attended Wakefield High School. Ward has been cheering since she was in seventh grade, serving as co-captain her sophomore and junior years and captain her senior year.

Ward also participated in volleyball and basketball and is a member of National Honor Society and Sisters Against Drunk Driving (SADD).

Head Cheer Coach Tobey Bergsten says, "I am so glad that Brittany has decided to come to cheer for our program. She has done so well working with our team so far and will be great to have next year!"

Ward is the daughter of Ed and Linda Ward. She has a 3.9 grade point average and plans to major in engineering.
