Rachael Forrest, Colorado Springs, Colo., has signed a letter of intent to play softball at Bethany College for the 2012-2013 academic year.
Forrest comes to Bethany from Rampart High School, where she played softball all four years as a pitcher and outfielder. She earned all-conference honors in her sophomore and senior years. Forrest had a .379 batting average.
Head Softball Coach Janice Esses says, "We are very excited to have Rachael Forrest join our softball program! She can play a variety of positions on the field including pitcher. As a fielder she has a very strong arm and did not commit any errors during her senior year high school season. We look to utilize Rachael's arm strength in the outfield. Rachael also had a good season at the plate batting .379. We are very fortunate to have her play for us this fall and look forward to watching her grow and develop as a student-athlete.
Forrest is the daughter of Marty and Beth Forrest and plans to major in psychology.
