Ferrell Marshall, Upland, Calif., has signed a letter of intent to play men's basketball at Bethany College for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Marshall, a six-foot-one guard, comes to Bethany from Upland High School, where he played basketball.

In addition to basketball, Marshall ran track in the 400m, 200m, and 100m and participated in the long and high jump. He was also a member of the chess club.

Head Men's Basketball Coach Clair Oleen says, "We are pleased to have Ferrell Marshall choose to attend Bethany College. Ferrell comes to us from a very successful high school team. We look forward to having  him develop in our junior varsity program as he adapts to the college game."

Marshall is the son of Wayne and Teresa Marshall and plans to major in business.
