Samantha Anderson, Oberlin, Kan., has signed a letter of intent to cheer at Bethany College for the 2012-2013 academic year.
Anderson comes to Bethany from Decatur Community High School, where she was a cheerleader for three years. She was a co-captain for one year. In addition to cheerleading Anderson has been involved in KAYS, TACT, FFA, 4-H, State and District KMEA, Singers, Drama Club, and Competitive Speech. She has been honored with a Citizenship Award, Arion Award, and was on the honor roll.
Head Cheerleading Coach Tobey Bergsten says, "I am very excited that Samantha will be joining us for cheerleading this year. I believe it will be a great season!"
Anderson is the daughter of Richard and Maureen Anderson. She has a 3.4 grade point average and plans to major in music education.
