Bethany College football announces its 2012 recruiting class. Thirty-five new athletes will join 50 returners to the team for the 2012 season.
A total of six states are represented by the incoming recruits, including Texas (10), Kansas (8), California (2), Colorado (2), Florida (1), and Missouri (2).
On the offensive side of the ball, Bethany has signed one quarterback, six lineman, six wide receivers, one running back, three tight ends and two kickers. On the defensive side, Bethany signed four defensive ends, two cornerbacks, four defensive backs and six linebackers.
Head Football Coach Jamie Cruce is pleased with his talented roster. "We are looking forward to seeing our new players develop and contribute to our success," says Cruce. "Our expectations are high as we enter fall camp. We must stay healthy and focused in order to match those expectations with victories on the field and in the classroom."
Bethany opens its season on the road Sept. 1 at Southwestern Assemblies of God University. Kick-off is set for 6 p.m.
