Barry Garfinkel, Karkur, Israel, has signed a letter of intent to play men's basketball at Bethany College for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Garfinkel, a six-foot-three guard, is transferring to Bethany from Cuesta College. Prior to college he attended Moshe Sharet High School in Natanya, Israel. Garfinkel earned V18 All-Star honors and First 5 All-North honors. In high school, he averaged 22 points per game and six assists per game.

Head Men's Basketball Coach Clair Oleen says, "Barry joins us after being a role player and defensive stopper at Cuesta College in California. Barry is a penetrator and passer who joins his Cuesta teammate Luis Marrero here at Bethany College."

Garfinkel is the son of Jana Shimonor and Yair Garfinkel and is undecided on his major at this time.
