The Bethany College women's soccer team lost their third game in a row on Sept. 15 when they hosted nationally-ranked Bellevue University.

The Swedes lost 0-2.

Keeper Jessica Shepherd, a sophomore from Valley, Neb., had six saves on the day, facing eight shots on goal.

As a team, Bethany had five total shots and five shots on goal. With three of the five shots on goal was Tessa Kuhlengel, a junior from Lake Dallas, Texas.

Bethany is back in action Sept. 18 at Central Christian College in McPherson before the team will play host to University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma at 2 p.m. on Sept. 20. On Sept. 22 Bethany will travel to Oklahoma Wesleyan University for a 1 p.m. game.

The Swedes, now 2-3 overall, will open their conference season at home on Oct. 3 versus University of Saint Mary.
