Despite a slow start to the 2012 season, Bethany Head Men's Soccer Coach, Kevin Megli, said his team just getting warmed up.

"We are improving each and every game," Megli said.

The Swedes, now 0-4 overall, lost 1-2 in overtime to Mid America Christian College on Sept. 11 in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Bethany had 11 total shots with seven shots on goal. Ilija Soc, a senior from Belgrade, Serbia, had the lone score for the Swedes.

Sophomore keeper, Kayo Vaz, Fortaleza Ceara, Brazil, had 12 saves on the day with two goals allowed.

Megli said his team is making huge strides this season by playing a tough non-conference schedule.

The Swedes will continue to battle tough teams this week as they travel to Oklahoma to play fifth-ranked University of Science and Arts on Sept. 21, and eleventh-ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Sept. 22.

These two games will be a big test for the team, Megli said. Adding his team is looking forward to the challenge.

The Swedes begin conference play at home on Oct. 3 versus University of Saint Mary.
