The Bethany College women's soccer team lost 1-4 to Central Methodist College last week, falling to 3-6 overall as the team heads into conference play.
Bethany Head Women's Soccer Coach Sean McMannis said his team had a great first half, taking a 1-0 lead with a goal from Shelby Ward.
"The second half we stopped pressuring the ball and the other team took it to us," McMannis said.
The Swedes had just three total shots with two shots on goal, while CMU had 17 total shots and nine shots on goal.
The Swedes open conference play on Oct. 3 versus University of Saint Mary at Anderson Stadium. The team will next face Sterling College at 1 p.m. in Sterling before returning to Lindsborg Oct. 10 for a 5 p.m. game versus Southwestern College.
