Bethany College health and physical education students hosted their annual Community Walk Night on Tuesday, October 2, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Anderson Stadium. The event was free and open to the public. There were games for children of all ages.
The walk is grant-funded by the United Methodist Health Ministry Fund. With the funds, Bethany College was able to purchase new equipment for the physical education department and a healthy snack for each of the participants. There were 104 participants from the community and 27 Bethany College students.
"We were very pleased with the turnout," says Jessica Becker, assistant professor of health and physical education. "The weather was beautiful and it is always fun to get the community involved with what we are doing here at Bethany College!"
