The Bethany College golf team placed fifth overall at the Oklahoma Baptist University Fall Invite held Oct. 8-9 at the Shawnee Country Club.

As a team the Swedes finished round one with a score of 308 and in fifth place. Fifth place is where the Swedes would stay after a team score of 318 in the second round. Bellevue University had the lead after day one with 294. BU had 292 after round one.

Individually Bethany's top golfer fell below the top-10. Ben Johnson finished in a tie for 12^th place. Teammates Jose Luis Lelo de Larrea and James Tisdale shared 20^th with two other golfers while Greg Miller tied for 41^st. Lex Deal tied for 56^th.

The Swedes host the Bethany Fall Invitational on Oct. 15 at Salina Municipal Golf Course and GreatLife Golf and Fitness.
