The Bethany College volleyball Swedes added a "W" to their record last week by defeating Southwestern College in five games.

On Oct. 8 Bethany travelled to Winfield and returned to Lindsborg with a win after a five-game battle versus the ‘Builders. The Swedes won game one 25-20 before losing game two 24-26 and game three 17-25. Bethany battled back in game four to take the 25-20 win and force a fifth game which Bethany won 15-12.

The Swedes then hosted McPherson College on Oct. 10, losing in three (21-25, 16-25, 14-25).

On Saturday,  Oct. 13, Bethany played an alumni game as part of Homecoming Weekend.

The Swedes now are 3-8 in the KCAC and 5-15 overall. The team hosts Kansas Wesleyan on Oct. 16. The team next faces Friends University in Wichita on Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. Bethany returns to Hahn Gym on Oct. 22 for a 7 p.m. match versus Tabor College.
