The Bethany College women's soccer team won their first conference game last week with a win over Southwestern College. The Swedes now are 1-3 in the KCAC and 4-9 overall.
On Oct. 10 the team defeated the ‘Builders 3-2 at Anderson Stadium.
Bethany had 16 total shots with nine shots on goal. With goals were Shaunice Huffman and Shannon Singleton. Keeper Jasmine Zaker had five saves with two goals allowed.
On Oct. 13 the Swedes traveled to Salina to face nationally-ranked Kansas Wesleyan University, losing 1-4.
The Swedes had three total shots with two shots on goal while the Coyotes chalked up 15 total shots and 11 shots on goal.
Zaker had two saves with three goals allowed while keeper Jessica Shepherd had five saves and one goal allowed.
The Swedes next travel to Wichita to take on Friends University on Oct. 17 before hosting Tabor College at 5 p.m. on Oct. 20.
