Signing with the Bethany College Cross Country/Track & Field teams on November 27, 2007, Victoria Vopata, a distance runner from Marysville High School in Marysville, KS, became the 1st member of the women's 2008 cross country recruiting class and the 2nd member for track & field. The daughter of Gerri Wybo-Vopata, Vopata will major in art administration.
Vopata is a three year qualifier in the Kansas 4A State Cross Country and State Track & Field Meets. Her personal record in the cross country 4K race is 15:26, while she posted track times of 12:07 in the 3200m run and 5:34 in the 1600m run.
Throughout her high school career, she also participated in basketball and cheerleading.
