The Bethany women's junior varsity basketball team currently has a 5-5 mark on the season. The Swedes posted their biggest win of the year on Saturday as they knocked off North Platte Community College (NE) 71-62 in Lindsborg.  Freshmen Claire Cole (Kensington, KS) scored 25 points to lead all scorers.  Fellow freshmen Crysta Stensaas (Norway, KS) added 14 and Katie Wendland (Leonardville, KS) added 11.  Sophomore Devon Stover (Columbus, KS) contributed 10 points.

The win came on the heels of a couple of close losses to the Friends JV and to Brown Mackie College.
In the Brown Mackie game, the Swedes put forth a strong effort but came up on the short end losing 63-56.  Katie Wendland led Bethany with 14 points and Devon Stover contributed 10.  Freshmen Sam Reeves (Wray, CO) contributed 11 points off the bench.
