The Bethany College football team will hold its annual spring game on Thursday, May 9, from 6 to 7 p.m., on Anderson Field.
There will be halftime entertainment, contests and games with chances to win prizes, music and plenty of activities for all ages.
The Swedes will welcome guest coaches President Edward F. Leonard III, Ph.D., and Provost and Dean of the College Kenneth M. Macur, Ph.D., to the sidelines. The game will feature the offense versus the defense.
"We will introduce our style of play to our student body and our fans in Lindsborg and central Kansas," says Head Football Coach Manny Matsakis. "Signees and prospects will be in attendance from California, Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas to watch this event and see first-hand what Swedes pride is all about!"
Visit the new Bethany Swedes Football Facebook page for information on the game and all football activities.
For Swedes fans that can't make it to the game, you can watch live video via iHigh on the Bethany College athletics website, or you can listen to James Westling "Voice of the Swedes" on 95.5 THE ROCK.
Prior to the game, there will be a tailgate dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m. on the south end of the track.
