At the Missouri Valley College Indoor Meet in Marshall, MO, on January 19, 2008, two school records were set while four of the five athletes improved their qualifying marks for the NAIA National Indoor Track & Field Championships at Johnson City, TN, on March 6-8.

Once again, junior Jessica Becker of Capitan, NM, set a school record and improved her qualifying mark in the shot put with her 1st place throw of 49.07.25.  This new mark currently movers her into 1st place in the NAIA national rankings.

Improving her qualifying "B" mark to an "A" mark, senior Anna Miller of Blue Rapids, KS, won the indoor weight throw with a distance of 50-03.25, while Becker placed 2nd in the event with 48-08.00.  Nationally, Miller is currently ranked 4th, and Becker is 6th.

The national rankings change throughout the week as coaches around the nation submit results from meets that were just completed.
