The softball Swedes were picked to finish fourth in the KCAC based on the conferences pres-season coaches poll. The Swedes tied with Sterling for the predicted regular-season finish.
In 2007, the softball Swedes finished fifth in conference, earning an at large bid to the NAIA Region IV tournament.
