Athletes who did not compete at the Jayhawk Invitational in Lawrence, KS, the previous day traveled to the Charlie Foster Classic hosted by the University of Nebraska-Kearney in Kearney, NE, on January 26, 2008.
 
Leading the way for the Swedes, senior Anna Miller of Blue Rapids, KS, who was nationally ranked 5th in the indoor weight throw, won 1st place in the event with 48-07.50.  Finishing 4th in the competition was sophomore Michelle Baltimore of Yuma, AZ, who threw 46-11.50, only .25 away from her season best throw.
 
The only other athlete to place in the top five was freshman Morgan Salter of Holcomb, KS.  She ran a personal best in the 3200m run, finishing with a time of 12:51.55.
 
On February 2, the Swedes host the Kessinger Classic in Stroble-Gibson Gymnasium and Anderson Field.  Indoor events include the shot put, indoor weight, high jump and pole vault; all other events will be held outside if the weather permits.
