On December 16, 2007, Israel Zamora a distance runner from Seabrook, TX, signed with the Bethany College Cross Country/Track & Field teams becoming the first member of the men's 2008 recruiting class for both cross country and track & field.  He is the son of Israel and Maribel Zamora and plans on becoming an athletic trainer.

 

 

Zamora, who competed at South Houston High School in South Houston, TX, has a 5K personal best of 15:45 and has ran races from 400m to 3200m on the track.  He represented the United States at the Down and Under Bowl Games in Australia in 2006.

 

Throughout high school, Zamora also participated in soccer as a forward and right wing.
