Becoming the 7th member of the women's 2008 Bethany College Track & Field recruiting class, Shane Valdez of Moscow High School in Moscow, KS, signed a letter of intent on March 31, 2008. She is the daughter of Tom & Marcie Valdez and plans on studying health and wellness at Bethany.
Valdez owns personal bests of 16-01.00 in the long jump, 33-04.00 in the triple jump, 16.2 in the 100m hurdles, and 51.17 in the 300m hurdles. She will also be participating in cheerleading at Bethany.
The National Honor Society member has maintained a 3.6 GPA while also participating in basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, and powerlifting during high school.
