With an NAIA National Indoor Championship and a number two ranking for the NAIA National Outdoor Championships in the shot put, junior Jessica Becker of Capitan, NM, traveled to Des Moines, IA, on April 26, 2008, to participate in the Drake Relays which were held April 23-26.

The only NAIA athlete in the women's shot put competition, Becker's throw of 46-00.50 placed her 15th overall and was around three feet short of her best throw this season.

After the meet, Becker traveled to Lincoln, NE, to join her teammates at the Nebraska Open on April 27.
