The Bethany men's tennis team made it four Region IV Titles in a row by defeating Friends 5-4.
Senior Jon Feyerherm, Salina, Kan., carried the men to the national tournament with a third-set tiebreak victory as the last match on the court. "Big Shot Johnny" as his teammates and fans call him, had ice in his veins in the biggest match of his college career.
The Swedes other senior, Brad Bietau, Manhattan, Kan., went 4-0 on the day bringing his career Region IV Tournament record to an amazing 16-0.
Derek Watson rolled his career regional record to 6-0 with two huge doubles wins. Although injured Mitchell De Jong went 2-0 in doubles for the day. Adam Hambleton went 2-0 for the day in doubles, and has gotten stronger all year.
The NAIA National Tournament will kick off May 12th in Mobile Alabama.
