Women's Basketball coach Greg Mittelsteadt announced that Richelle Fritzler will join the Swedes for the 2008-2009 season. Fritzler, a 5'10 post from Atwood, CO, averaged 14 points per game and was a 2-time Colorado All-State selection for Merino High School and head coach Bryan Dermer.  In addition to her achievements in basketball, Fritzler was also a 4-year varsity performer in volleyball and the valedictorian of her class.

She is the daughter of Don and Mary Jane Fritzler.

According to Coach Mittelsteadt, "Richelle gives us some athleticism and strength inside.  She is a hard-working, explosive player and we feel she has a great deal of potential."
