At the NAIA Indoor National Track & Field Championships that were held in Johnson City, TN, on March 8-10, 2007, junior Jessica Becker of Capitan, NM, earned NAIA All-American honors for the second time in her career while breaking the school record in the shot put once again.  Results

At the NAIA Indoor National Track & Field Championships that were held in Johnson City, TN, on March 8-10, 2007, junior Jessica Becker of Capitan, NM, earned NAIA All-American honors for the second time in her career while breaking the school record in the shot put once again.

Her best throw of the day, 46-02.50, came on her final throw and moved her from 5th place to 4th. She was ranked 5th overall heading into the competition.

Other women who competed at the national meet included: freshman Amber Dunham of Independence, KS, who was 15th in the shot put (40-04.75); junior Anna Miller of Blue Rapids, KS, who was 20th in the weight throw (45-01.00); and sophomore Sarah Helm of Seneca, KS, who was 24th in the 60m hurdle preliminaries (9.45—a season best time) and 30th in the 60m dash preliminaries (8.23).

For the men, junior Caleb Svaty of Kanopolis, KS, and senior Nathan Whitcomb of Cottonwood Falls, KS, each competed in the weight throw where they placed 10th and 11th, respectively. Svaty threw 52-07.25 while Whitcomb threw 52-02.75.
