Emily Zimmerman, Fairbury, Neb., has signed a letter of intent to play softball at Bethany College for the 2008-2009 academic year.

Zimmerman is a catcher, outfielder, 3rd baseman, and 1st baseman from Cowley County Community College. She played catcher, left field, and center field at Fairbury Junior Senior High. There she started all four years and was also a forward on the basketball team and was a pole vaulter and hurdler on the track and field team. Zimmerman was on the President's list, Dean's list, was an Academic All-American, and a member of Phi Beta Lamda.

At Bethany she plans to study business management and sports management.

Zimmerman is the daughter of Steve and Judy Zimmerman.
