LINDSBORG, Kan. – The Bethany College men's tennis team improved to 2-0 in the KCAC with their second consecutive 9-0 win. This time the Swedes knocked off Bethel College without surrendering a point. The women's team dropped their second KCAC match of the week, this time by a 9-0 score.

Juan Mateus and Aaron Moses, Jr. disposed of their Threshers counterparts with an 8-0 rout in No. one doubles. Manuel Raga and Guillermo Caro took the No. two doubles point 8-4, while Conrad Mascarenhas and Bruno Campos earned the No. three doubles point with an 8-3 win.

Raga and Mateus earned No. one and No. two singles wins with scores of 6-0, 6-0. Moses, Jr. also took the No. six singles point 6-0, 6-0. Mascarenhas took down Bethel's No. three singles player 6-1, 6-0 while Caro took the No. five singles point 6-0, 6-1. Campos claimed the final point 6-1, 6-1.

On the women's side Kittey Edwards took her singles match to the third set before falling in the tie break 10-7. 

"We played solid up and down the lineup today. We only lost four games in all six singles matches combined. Conrad and Bruno are playing very well as we are getting into the conference swing," said head coach Tony Swiantek.
