Scott James, Burleson, Tex., has signed a letter of intent to play soccer for Bethany College for the 2008-2009 academic year.

James is a 6'0" goalkeeper and stopper from Burleson High School. There he was the starting goalkeeper as a sophomore and was the starting stopper his senior year. James was also in the marching band, earning all area honors for the bassoon. He also earned the Gold Community Service Award.

James has a 3.22 high school GPA. At Bethany he plans to study music teaching pre K-12/instrumental.

James is the son of Paul and Patricia James.
