LINDSBORG, Kan. – The Bethany College women's tennis team came up short when they hosted Friends University on Monday evening. The Swedes won four points in the dual setup and only lost three, but lost by a score of 5-4 with the open spots in the lineup.

Kittey Edwards and Amelia Fabrizius started the Swedes off on the right foot with an 8-2 win in the No. one doubles position. Jackie Bradshaw and Chelsea Bothwell put Bethany up 2-0 with an 8-5 win in the No. two doubles spot. The Falcons picked up their first point of the dual when the Swedes could not field a No. three doubles team.

But, Bethany came back to extend their lead. Edwards took the No. one singles point 6-0, 6-2 to put Bethany up 3-1. Fabrizius took the No. two singles point 6-1, 6-0. However, that's all the Swedes would get, as they dropped the next three positions by score, and the final point of the dual by not fielding a position.
