LINDSBORG, Kan. – The Bethany College tennis teams played their third dual matchup of the week on Saturday when they hosted Oklahoma Wesleyan University. With both Eagles teams being shorthanded, the men's team won 9-0 for the third time this week, while the women's team won 9-0 for their first win of the season. 

Bruno Campos and Conrad Mascarenhas took care of the No. one doubles point with an 8-4 win. Bethany claimed the other two doubles points by default. Campos won the No. one singles point with a 6-0, 6-1 win. Mascarenhas followed with a 6-0 6-0 win at No. two singles, and Jaime Olarieta claimed the No. three singles point with another 6-0, 6-1 win. Bethany captured the final three points by default for the 9-0 win.

"Conrad and Bruno led us today with quick wins over a shorthanded OKWU team," said head coach Tony Swiantek.

Kittey Edwards and Amelia Fabrizius started the women's team off on a good note with an 8-1 win at No. one doubles. The Swedes took the next two points by default. Edwards and Fabrizius then took the No. one and No. two singles points by a score of 6-0, 6-0. Bethany took the rest of the points available by default. 

"It was great to see our two seniors, Kittey and Amelia, have an inidvidaul and a team win on their final home match," said assistant coach Monica Chapman.
