LINDSBORG, Kan. – The Bethany College Golf Programs have added four young athletes to their ranks for the 2016-2017 season: Emily Sutton, London, England; Larrah Bills, Newton; Kyler Donaldson, Idabel, Okla.; and Clay Stogsdill, Wichita.
Head Coach Dalton Stevens looks for Sutton to add depth to the women's team. She has been a part of teams that have finished second in the Association of Colleges National Championship and has seen a lot of success individually in England.
"Emily is an experienced player who has the ability to shoot in the 70's. She is very talented, I look forward to seeing her grow as a player and all that she accomplishes," said Coach Stevens.
Sutton will major in Sports and Business Management.
Bills comes to Bethany from Hutchinson Community College. She attended high school at Newton High School, here she competed at the 2012 KSHSAA State Girls Golf Tournament.
"I am excited to work with Larrah to help here contribute immediately for us," said Coach Stevens.
Bills will major in education at Bethany.
Donaldson went to Haworth High School. This Oklahoma native was a part of the 2016 2A State Runner Up team.
Coach Stevens said of Donaldson, "Kyler is very knowledgeable on the game is very hard working. I look forward to get him in the program and work with him to harness his skills."
Donaldson has plans to major in business management as a Swede.
Stogsdill comes from Wichita Trinity Academy. He will join the Bethany family and major in Accounting.
"I am excited to have Clay apart of the Bethany Golf Program. His drive and passion for the game will help him succeed in his time here at Bethany," said Coach Stevens.
"We are very excited to have Emily, Larrah, Kyler, and Clay join our program!" said Coach Dalton Stevens "We have worked hard this summer to locate and recruit players that will make a positive impact on the team and represent BC with great pride. We welcome them to the Swede family!"
