Plans for the future? I hope to attend medical school or graduate school after graduating from Bethany.

Why did you choose to go to Bethany? Bethany offered me the opportunity to play for a competitive softball program and be a part of a strong biology program. It was also a place where I could get involved with different clubs and organizations.

What has been your favorite memory from college? One of my favorite memories is from freshmen year when myself and five of my teammates painted our stomachs for a home basketball game. I also had a blast when Beth Prier and I were the emcees for the homecoming pep rally and we got to wear all the different teams' uniforms. I think we looked the most fabulous in the football pads!

What has been your favorite memory from your career as an athlete? I have two favorite memories. One is from fall season junior year when we tied Fort Hays and I was playing left field and I got a fly ball deep to me, runner on third, and one out. I caught the ball and launched it to Laura, who was behind the plate. She fielded it and stuck her glove out to nail the girl trying to steal home and we got her out. That got some good adrenaline going.  The second memory is from sophomore year when we played in the conference tournament and played a bunch of games back to back until the wee hours of the morning because of rain delay. We were able to knock out KW and put ourselves in contention for a bid to regionals. And we did end up going to regionals. It was a long night but it was a ton of fun!

What drives you as an athlete? I am very competitive and I love the rush you get when games are close and every moment you are waiting for your opportunity to make that amazing play or watch your teammates do something miraculous. I also love the connections you make with your teammates and how supportive you are of one another.  The relationship is so close and it is hard to express how appreciative you are of them.

What is something very few people know about you? I like peanut butter pickle sandwiches and I like to shake my laffy taffy :)
