The Bethany College football team traveled to Bolivar, Missouri to take on Southwest Baptist University last Saturday.

Southwest Baptist, a NCAA Division II school, beat the Swedes 83-6 in a record breaking game for the Bearcats.

After four SBU touchdowns in the first quarter, the Swedes got on the board early in the second off of a 33-yard touchdown pass from freshman quarterback Zachary Waggoner to freshman wide receiver Collin Parks.  Despite a valiant effort by Bethany, the Swedes could not muster any more points as they suffered a devastating loss.

Bethany is now 0-2 on the year.  The Swedes continue their season with an away game at Friends University on Saturday, September 27th. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
