The Bethany College Men's and Women's Cross Country team traveled to Lake Afton for their first meet of the year and managed to bring home 4 individual medals and a 3rd place finish

Running in their first collegiate meet for the women's team were freshmen Nadia Armbruster and Victoria Voptata, along with junior Adela Jirikova. The returning runners were sophomore Morgan Salter, with seniors Marcie Schottler and Stephanie Wilson. Armbruster, Voptata, and Salter all medaled in the top 15. The women's team also managed to pull together a 3rd place finish.

On the men's side Nhial Malia easily won the men's division by over 40 seconds.  Malia ran a 27:14, 8k which for him is a personal record. Freshman Tomas Oritiz also competed in his first collegiate cross country race for the men.
