The Bethany College women's soccer team continued their season this past Saturday with an away game against Manhattan Christian College.  The Swedes took control from the start, earning a 4-1 victory.

Bethany battled late into the first half before scoring their first goal with 3:46 to go. Freshman Megan Xavier scored off of an assist from freshman Tara Rose. The Swedes turned right around and added to their lead as junior Kristin Palmer scored off a pass from senior Megan Ziegel with 1:25 left in the half. Bethany was not finished yet as they went into halftime with a solid 2-0 lead.  They added another goal with 38:14 left in the second half as Ziegel scored unassisted. Not long after, the Swedes tacked on their fourth and final goal from junior Carla Toler off a pass from Ziegel.  Bethany looked to close out the game, but Manhattan Christian scored with 27 minutes left. However, the Swedes held on for the big 4-1 "W."

Bethany looks to continue their winning streak this week by traveling to Ozark Christian College on Friday, September 26th and Central Baptist College on Saturday, September 27th.  The games are set to start at 2 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.
