The Bethany College volleyball team continued their conference schedule this past week by battling Ottawa University on Wednesday night.
 

After three long and hard-fought games, the Swedes swept the match 25-21, 25-23, and 25-21.  Senior Stephanie Adamson led the Swede defense with clean passes and huge defensive stops, totaling eleven digs and two solo blocks on the night.  She was closely followed by senior Lisa Runnebaum, who had ten digs, and junior Katy Troutman, who added eight.  Parker made her presence known on the court with three assisted blocks.  Runnebaum's cannon of an arm led the Bethany offense with fifteen kills.  Junior Megan Wendell had five kills while senior Angelisa Sexson and Parker each had four.

The Swedes head into week four in conference with three matches ahead.  Bethany will host the University of St. Mary on Tuesday, September 30th at 7 p.m. before battling Southwestern College at home on Thursday, October 2nd at 7 p.m.  The Swedes will end the week by traveling to McPherson College on Saturday, October 4th.  Game time is set for 2 p.m.  The squad is now 5-4 overall and 3-1 in the KCAC, putting them in third place.
