The Bethany women's soccer team traveled to Friends University on Wednesday this past week before returning home to their new turf field.  The Swedes hosted McPherson College on Saturday morning for their last regular season conference game.

After a scoreless first half against Friends, the Swedes got on the scoreboard late in the second as freshman Tara Rose found the net unassisted.  Unfortunately, the Falcons also scored, sending the game into overtime.  Neither team was able to score, ending the game in a 1-1 tie.  Rose, freshman Megan Xavier, and senior Megan Zeigel each had three shots on goal while freshman Stacey Pelayo added two.

Looking to close out their conference schedule with a win, the Swedes took on McPherson College Saturday afternoon.  Unfortunately, the Bulldog offense proved too strong for the Swedes as they scored one goal in the first half and tacked on another three in the second.  Bethany fell 4-0.

The Swedes end their conference regular season at 4-4-1.  They are set to begin their post season later this week.  Bethany is 11-5-2 overall, doubling their win total from last year.
