Ira Autry and Mollie Dahl will join Jessica Becker at the indoor track & field nationals in a few weeks.
Autry qualified in both the long jump and triple jump at Graceland (IA) University on Feb. 13 as he jumped 6.91m (22' 8") in the long jump and 14.19m (46' 6 3/4") in the triple jump. The "A" long jump standard is 7.01m but the "B" mark is 6.88m. Autry easily passed the 14.17m "A" standard in the triple as he won both jumps at the meet.
Dahl went past the "B" standard in the shot put (12.42m is the "B" mark) and just missed the "A" standard of 12.70m when she took first at Graceland with a 12.65m throw. Becker qualified for both the shot put and weight throw in December at Kearney State.
Jesse Muntz added to his school record in the heptathlon by scoring 4185 points to go past his 4096 mark set at K-State two weeks ago.
Overall, the Swedes had a solid meet at Graceland as several athletes set personal records and got solid marks. This weekend will mark the last regular season meets of the indoor season.
