Freshman Rhys Pihl (left), Lindsborg, Kan., earned first-team KCAC honors

ed to the KCAC All-Freshman team for her efforts during the 2008-2009 season.
Senior Roni Whitman, Peetz, Colo., earned honorable mention honors and was named to the KCAC All-Defense team.
Pihl was the Swedes leading scorer, averaging 13.4 points per game. She shot 31.5 percent from the field and 80.7 percent from the line. Her highest scoring game was 26 points vs. Friends University Jan. 24. In addition, Pihl amassed 140 total rebounds with 89 assists.
Whitman was the Swedes second-leading scorer with 11 points per game. She averaged 40.4 percent from the field, 40 percent from beyond the arc and 78.7 percent from the line. Her highest scoring game was 20 points vs. Bethel College on Jan. 31. Whitman also had 147 total rebounds, 104 assists and 82 steals. She finished the season ranked second in the KCAC in steals and fourth in the conference in assists.
