Rebekah Stoddard, Wichita, Kan., has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Bethany College for the 2009-2010 academic year.

"We are pleased to have Rebekah on our team next year," said head coach Nathalea Stephenson. "She brings a wealth of experience having played club ball and one year at Labette Community College."

Stoddard is a 5'10" middle hitter from Labette Community College. According to Stephenson, "her ability to read the hitters will be a great asset." In 2008-2009, Stoddard was 44th in the NJCAA in block percentage. At Northwest High School, in addition to her three years of volleyball, she participated in track for shot put and discus. Stoddard was also a member of the honor roll and National Honor Society. She has a 3.1 GPA.

Stoddard is the daughter of Melvin and Darlene Stoddard. At Bethany, she plans to study athletic training/psychology.
