The Bethany men start 1-1 on their spring break trip in sunny Idaho with a 9-0 win over College of Idaho and a 4-5 loss to Montana State-Billings.
The men came out strong in their first match against College of Idaho and swept to a 9-0 win.  Senior Adam Hambleton, and sophomore Jakub (Kuba) Szymanski led the team going 2-0, winning both their singles and doubles.  Other singles winners were Santiago Gonzalez, Derek Watson, Kody Koester and Will Wiseman.
In the second match the Swedes fell 5-4 in a painful loss.  Kuba Szymanski again went 2-0 winning his singles and doubles, as did freshman Ivan Rashkov.  Freshman Santiago Gonzalez accounted for the other Swede win.  The team now prepares to play Division 1's Eastern Washington and University of Idaho, and #18 NAIA Lewis and Clark State.
