Junior Jacquelyn Hernandez, Oxnard, Cali., was named KCAC co-player of the week for week four. Freshman Stephanie Tyler, Glendale, Ariz., garnered co-pitcher of the week honors.
   
Hernandez tallied a .545 batting average in four games as the Swedes took on doubleheaders against Ottawa University and Tabor College. The junior had six hits in 11 at bats, three of which were doubles, ending with a .818 slugging percentage. Hernandez scored four runs, had four RBIs, three walks, and two stolen bases.
 
In week four, Tyler pitched and won two games. In 13 innings, she gave up only 10 hits and one earned run for an ERA of .54. The freshman tacked on five strike outs.
 
Bethany is now 18-13 overall and 3-3 in the KCAC. The squad hosts Central Christian College on Wednesday for a 4:00 pm doubleheader before the University of St. Mary heads to Lindsborg Saturday for a 1:00 pm conference doubleheader.
